Unmanned Systems Public Safety Operator Academy

Elevate your public safety operations with the F1RST Unmanned Systems Public Safety Operator Academy. This intensive three-day course (10 hours each day) is designed for professionals joining drone units in law enforcement or public safety agencies. 

Learn from the leadership of F1RST and the Pasco Sheriff's Office Unmanned Systems Team, which has conducted over 1,800 flights in public safety responses. Gain hands-on experience through simulated scenarios as the state-of-the-art F1RST Campus, using the Rubble Piles, Forensic Fields, interior flight lab and various locations around Pasco County, utilizing actors and realistic props. 

Develop essential skills such as conducting search and rescue missions, locating missing persons and fugitives, creating detailed maps, commanding and controlling scenes, searching structures, crowd monitoring, overwatch, K9 tracking, thermal operations, and more. By graduation, you'll be prepared to effectively use drones within your agency.
