Florida’s Forensic Institute for Research, Security, and Tactics (F1RST) is an innovative collaboration between academia, law enforcement practitioners, and the private sector, spearheaded by the Pasco Sheriff's Office. Located in Florida with facilities in Land O’ Lakes and Spring Hill, F1RST serves as a state-of-the-art research and training hub designed to advance public safety through cutting-edge technology, tactics, and forensic science. The institute offers comprehensive training programs and research initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities of public safety professionals. By integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications, F1RST empowers leaders and develops new methodologies to ensure safer communities, focusing on everything from unmanned aerial systems to forensic anthropology and cyber security.

F1RST Unmanned Systems Hangar

The unmanned systems hangar at F1RST provides public safety organizations with a controlled environment to train on indoor drones and robotics. The hangar features challenging obstacles such as a configurable shoot house, allowing for realistic training scenarios. This facility is an ideal location for public safety to hone their skills and improve their response in a and secure environment.
